The Hickory High School Band is a multi-faceted program that includes not only superior-rated Concert Bands and Wind Ensemble, but also an award-winning Marching Band. The Hickory Marching Hawks perform at all home football games, and enter multiple competitions each year. The Concert Bands put on several concerts each year, including a charity concert in the fall.
In 2011, the Wind Ensemble, along with the Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra, raised $1700 for the Wounded Warriors. The winter season is filled with competitions attended by both the Winter Color Guard and Percussion. In the spring, all bands participate in the Concert Band Performance Assessment.
The band program is thankful to all who have contributed to its success.
